New House

July was a busy month as we finalized the sale of our present condo and then had to decide on where we would re-locate. Fortunately we had our eyes on an older home in the NDG area of Montreal. It is a lower duplex built in the 1920s with beautiful oak woodwork.

We signed for it this morning and are able to take possession next Wednesday, August 6,. We are having the floors redone and then the painter arrives on August 11, the stove and fridge on August 13 and we move in on August 14!

Wow, lots of packing to do between now and then!!!!

The house has a separate living-room and dining-room with a den and 2 bedrooms as well as kitchen and bathroom on the main floor. In the basement will be TV/Family type of room and possibly another guest bedroom. We will have to add a bathroom in the basement.

We are quite excited about it. There is both a front and rear garden - both are small! - which will give me plenty to do outside of the house and will also allow space for Darcy and Wesley to play when they come to visit Grandmaman and Papa. In fact they should be arriving any minute now for a weekend visit. It should be fun!
