Condo - For Sale!
That's right!
May has been an exciting month as my wife and I have struggled with deciding whether or not to relocate.
Now that I am working only 2 -3 days per week and my wife is going to be working only 4 days per week, we will have some time on our hands. Also, we have two grandchildren who are growing. We will need more space for them when they come to visit. Perhaps with more space they will come to visit more often. (Hint, hint!)
We decided to sell our second house a number of years ago when we both were working 5 and sometimes 6 days per week. There simply was not time to look after the house and the garden. We had lost all our helpers as the children had left home.
Now as we start to find ourselves with time on our hands, why not go back to a house with a small (!) garden. We are looking forward to this.
We have had a very good offer on our condo which is conditional on an inspection. The inspection will take place this afternoon. We have already seen the house we would like to buy and have made an offer conditional on the final sale of our condo.
I have had another birthday and am now a year older than when I last wrote. Sixty-six is a wonderful age! My wife took me to dinner at the Crescendo restaurant and we had a table overlooking the marina and the river. It was a delightful evening, just the two of us, excellent food, great ambiance, and wonderful company! what more can I say? We had a family dinner on the weekend with the Montreal group. We had a good time together.
We will be celebrating Marc's birthday soon and that will be another family time.
In all of this I received a request to return to India. At this time it is not possible but it is on the radar screen for next year. The chance to live in another country for several months is a real privilege.
Life is good. My health is good.
Until next month.
