Trip to Windsor
Just a quick update on my blood infection. It was identified as a bacteria. It is over, 5 different medications in 2 weeks, and I am back to normal. I am still waiting for results from the sample taken at the Montreal General and sent to Winnipeg for analysis. That could take another couple of weeks.
It is nice to be back home and have plenty of hot water for showers and some of the other conveniences of home. The weather is quite a challenge with winds over 80 km/hr and icy sidewalks, not to mention the blowing snow! (Yes, we have sidewalks!)
On the weekend of January 20th, Gigi, Stephanie, Marc, and Bill, we all went to Windsor to see Nick, Sue, Darcy and WESLEY! I finally saw my new grandson who is now over 5 months old! He is full of life and kept us all busy during the weekend. Sue's family arrived Saturday afternoon and we all enjoyed a wonderful buffet which Sue had prepared.
Sunday was Wesley's dedication at church which was followed by a wonderful meal which was catered. Marc and Stef were on the road by 2:00 P.M. and home in Montreal at 11:00 P.M.
Gigi and I left a little later and only went as far as Toronto as Gigi had meetings in Toronto on Monday and Tuesday. We left Toronto at 3:00 P.M. and arrived home just before 1:00 A.M. Wednesday morning. There was a 3 hour detour on the 401 and then we drove slowly through the snow. It was nice to get home and sleep in our own bed!
I have landed a part time job, 2 days a week, with flexible hours. I am enjoying the challenge and it is nice to have something to do on a regular basis.
I will try to remember to update this site once a month.
That's it for now.

We're glad to hear you're feeling better.
I love the family picture. We all look great.
Poor little Wesley isn't feeling too well today. Maybe he misses having all his family around.
